She received her MA in Library Science from the University of Missouri in 2005. Recent work focuses on library partnerships, especially around the intersection of public libraries and public health. She is co-author of I<em>ntroduction to Public Librarianship<\/em> (3rd ed. and 4th ed.).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator aligncenter has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Noah Lenstra, MS.LIS., is an associate professor of Library &amp; Information Science at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He received his M.S. and PhD in Library &amp; Information Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He brings a community organizing approach to the research and teaching of public librarianship. His books include <em>Healthy Living at the Library<\/em> (2020, Bloomsbury) and <em>12 Steps to a Community-Led Library <\/em>(co-author Audrey Barbakoff, 2023, American Library Association Editions). During her career of over 20 years, she has served as a Children\u2019s Librarian, Branch Manager and Programming Director. After transforming service using trauma-informed practices at the L.H. Bluford Library, she was awarded the prestigious I Love My Librarian Award. Her work included a partnership with The University Health System for training, resources, and programming.\u00a0 She is certified by University Health as a Trauma Informed Care Ambassador and Trauma Informed Culture Trainer.\u00a0 April is also certified in Mental Health First Aid for adults and teens. She earned her MLIS from Texas Women&#8217;s University and PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research interests focus on health information behavior, health insurance literacy, health-related decision-making behavior, the Affordable Care Act information needs, and Health sciences librarianship. Her books include\u00a0<em>Health literacy and libraries<\/em>\u00a0(2024, co-edited with Deborah Charbonneau for Rowman &amp; Littlefield) and\u00a0<em>The Medical Library Association guide to answering questions about the Affordable Care Act\u00a0<\/em>(2015, Rowman &amp; Littlefield).<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns are-vertically-aligned-top is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:50%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-media-text has-media-on-the-right is-stacked-on-mobile\"><div class=\"wp-block-media-text__content\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sheri McCaskill is a Master&#8217;s of Library and Information Science graduate student at the University of Missouri&#8217;s ischool. She also holds a Master&#8217;s in Public Health with a concentration in community health education from the Colorado School of Public Health and holds a certification as a Health Education Specialist (CHES).
